23 Mountain Crest House Manual

Fully appointed superior studio condo at Snowshoe, WV. Recently upgraded, queen bunk bed, queen sleeper sofa, fully functional kitchen, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer in unit, ski locker, 55" smart TV, fiber optic WiFi and phone. Approximately 3 minute walk to Powderidge lift and 10 minutes to village. Additional availability right next door at 24 Mountain Crest, also on Airbnb.

Heating/HVAC: This unit is equipped with electric baseboard heating. It does not have air conditioning. To adjust the heat, turn the dial to selected temperature (recommended 68 in winter). It will take about 30 minutes for the condo to warm up to temperature. Alternatively, in the summer, the best way to cool the condo is to open back windows and open screen on front door, tilt blinds down and leave fans running. This will quickly cool off the unit, especially in the evenings.

Access Codes: All access codes to the front door and gate are sent dynamically 24 hours before your arrival. These code are custom to your stay and will only be active during your reservation. 

Parking: There is ample parking out front of the building. There is no limit on parking spots, but please park within the parking lines and do not block fire escapes, stairways or auxiliary common buildings. 

Fireplace: Free firewood is provided in the shed in the parking lot adjacent to the gated entrance. Please use the key hanging in the kitchen to access the locked building. Please do not create a fire bigger than the fireplace can handle. Also, never leave a fire going unattended as this unit does not have solid enclosures to keep the fire contained.

Bus Access: The bus shuttle is directly in front of the parking lot on Powderidge Rd. The shuttle runs on approximately 30 min intervals in the winter months and on call during the remainder of the year. The phone number is (304) 572-5808.

Slope Access: The Powderidge lift and slope is located to the right of the Powderidge complex. Walk across the parking lot, down the steps, across Powderidge Rd, right into the Powderidge parking lot and gain access at the end of the parking lot on the left. 

Late Checkouts: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late checkouts due to the required cleaning and sanitizing of each unit before the next guest's arrival. 

Check Out Instructions: 

1) Strip all used bedding (leaving mattress and pillow protectors) and pile at the entrance to the room.

2) Pile all used towels at the entrance to each bathroom.
3) Clean all dishes (utilize dishwasher if available).
4) Replenish all firewood that was consumed (if any) during your stay.
5) Make sure no flammable objects, such as pillows, furniture or blankets are left against baseboard heaters.
6) Close all blinds.
7) Turn off all lights and ceiling fans.
8) Take out all trash.
9) Text Melissa at housekeeping at (681) 710-1194 with your unit number and tell them you’ve checked out.
10) Lock the front door.
